NO OBJECTION RAISED TO MITSUI'S ACQUISITION OF REMAINING INTEREST IN MOURA MINE
I have decided to raise no objections under the Government's foreign investment policy to a proposal by Mitsui Moura Investment Pty Ltd or MMI No. 3 Ltd (Mitsui) to acquire Coal & Allied Industries Limited's 55 percent interest in the Moura Mine in Queensland. The proposal would provide Mitsui with an 100% holding.
Under the Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Act, proposals will be approved unless contrary to the national interest.
